The Rain Arrives to San Francisco!
Finally, after many painful weeks without rain, much-needed precipitation arrives to the Bay Area. It’s an exciting day, to say the least. There’s something eerie about so many still, sunny days – I was beginning to feel like we lived in LA.
While I’m not a San Francisco native, I’m told this is the rainy season and so far this season it’s been anything but. I will state the obvious that yes, climate change and subsequent weather patterns have a large role to play in the odd weather we’re having this winter, but somehow that doesn’t bring any resolution. If anything, I feel strangely guilty enjoying this rainy day – it’s as if we’re on borrowed time, as if the rain itself is somehow lost. Let’s just hope it sticks around for a while…
